Alex Chklar

Alex Chklar is a Senior Project Manager at COWI since September 2021, with prior experience in the same role at DNV GL from October 2013 to May 2021, where responsibilities included managing the certification of offshore wind projects and generating new business. Before DNV GL, Alex served as a Senior Design Engineer at GL Garrad Hassan from April 2009 to October 2013, focusing on mechanical design and critical analysis for accreditations. Earlier experience includes a position as a Design Development Engineer at Renishaw from January 2005 to April 2009, where involvement in innovative projects contributed to product success. Alex’s career began with a Student Year in Industry Placement at PDC Ltd., where design and prototype testing of specialized tools were key accomplishments. Alex holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, earned between 2000 and 2004.
