Birgitte Refsing Nissen

Birgitte Refsing Nissen is a seasoned land surveyor with extensive experience in large-scale construction projects, currently serving as a land surveyor at COWI since December 2014. Responsibilities include negotiating agreements, conducting public meetings, engaging in landowner dialogues, and developing land use plans and compensation estimates, with notable projects such as the new Hovedgård-Hasselager railway and the Baltic Pipe. Previous positions include land surveyor roles at Københavns Kommune and student assistant positions at Naturstyrelsen and By- og Landskabsstyrelsen, along with quality control work at COWI. Birgitte holds a Cand. geom. degree in land surveying from Aalborg University, complemented by an MSc in Development Planning and Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, and a BS as a Chartered Land Surveyor from Aalborg University.
