Hannes Koopmann

Hannes Koopmann is a highly experienced professional specializing in marine geoscience, geological modeling, integrated interpretation, and applied geophysics. Currently serving as Leading Project Manager and Senior Business Development Specialist at COWI since August 2014, Hannes drives department-wide digital transformation initiatives and employs digital tools to enhance project management and data quality control processes. Previous roles at COWI include Senior Project Manager and Specialist & Account Manager, with a focus on offshore wind, asset management, and site investigations. Hannes also worked as a Geoscientist at the Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe, contributing to marine geophysical data projects in South America and South Africa, and aboard Research Vessel Meteor. Hannes possesses a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences and an M.Sc. in Geosciences from Leibniz Universität Hannover, as well as Danish language proficiency.
