Isaac Farreras Alcover

Isaac Farreras Alcover is a seasoned professional in civil engineering with extensive experience in structural health monitoring (SHM). Since November 2010, Isaac has led technical development and market initiatives at COWI as the SHM lead. Previously, Isaac held roles at the University of Surrey as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher within the FP7 project SmartEN, focusing on advancing wireless sensor networks for SHM. Isaac’s career began as a trainee structural engineer at SETEC and progressed to a structural engineer position at AYESA. Isaac holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey and dual master's degrees from École nationale des ponts et chaussées and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Key areas of expertise include infrastructure management, structural monitoring, smart structures, and digital signal processing.
