Joseph Hannan

Joseph “J.P.” Hannan is the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Cox Media Group. He leads the company’s Finance team, overseeing the financial performance and profitability strategies for the company.

J.P. is an accomplished financial leader with decades of deep functional expertise and technical knowledge in all aspects of corporate finance and financial planning across media and technology. He has successfully completed $5 billion in career M&A and financing transactions while realizing $250+ million of post-deal operational synergies across 16 separate transactions as CFO. He has leveraged his role on several executive leadership teams to help create expanded efficiency, innovation and growth.

Prior to joining CMG, J.P. served as EVP & Chief Financial Officer at AutoWeb, a full-service digital marketing organization for dealers and manufacturers. Prior to this, he served as CFO of several other publicly traded entities, including Social Reality (Nasdaq: SRAX), Cumulus Media (Nasdaq: CMLS) and Lincoln Financial Media (fka Jefferson Pilot) (NYSE: LNC). He began his career with privately held Lambert Television, where he served in a variety of roles including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

J.P. currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Chrysalis Fund, Inc. He is member of Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences, and previously served on the Radio Music License Committee.
