Kara Misra

Kara Misra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Founder of Busy Is My Bag since 2019 and a Member Engagement Specialist at the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia since January 2023, Kara has a proven track record in member engagement and professional development. Previous roles include Professional Development Content Coordinator at the same association, along with consultancy and management positions at the BC Recreation and Parks Association. Kara has also worked as an Event Coordinator at the Canada Export Centre and as a Teaching & Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. Academically, Kara holds a Master of Applied Environmental Studies in Tourism Policy and Planning from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Marketing and Information Systems from McGill University.
