Sebastian Nilsson has an extensive work history in various industries. Sebastian began their career in 2008 as a CAD Engineer at ABB Transformers in Germany. In 2011, they co-founded Miseto AB, where they served as the CTO and gained valuable experience in running a startup and developing database-driven services.
From 2012 to 2013, Sebastian worked as a Vehicle Electronics Engineer at Chalmers Formula Student, where they designed the electronics architecture of a competition car. In 2014, they became an Assisting Manager at Chalmers Formula Student, further honing their project management and leadership skills.
Sebastian joined Volvo Group Australia in 2018 as a Software Engineer, specializing in troubleshooting and correcting the Volvo Penta Electronics Vessel Control system. Sebastian provided support during the build process or in the field, often requiring travel within the Oceania region.
As the owner of Treplex, a private enterprise, Sebastian focused on website design, programming, and database development. Over the years, they completed over 20 websites and custom web applications.
Sebastian's expertise in software development expanded during their time at CPAC Systems AB, where they worked as a Mobile Application Developer on Volvo Construction Equipment's Efficient Load Out product suite. Sebastian primarily used native Swift programming for low-level network communication and high-level GUI programming.
In addition to their work experience, Sebastian co-founded two ventures in 2022. The first, Paylando, where they served as a Co-Founder, and the second, imgstry, where they focused on creating tools and software for business automation.
Throughout their career, Sebastian has gained expertise in software design, control theory, embedded C coding, system development, wireless communication, mechanical design, and PCB design. Sebastian has also developed strong skills in project management, leadership, troubleshooting, and customer support.
Sebastian Nilsson began their education in 2005 at ABB Industrigymnasium, where they completed their upper secondary school education in the field of Technology. From 2008 to 2014, Sebastian attended Chalmers University of Technology as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) student. During their time at Chalmers, they focused their studies in the field of System, Control and Mechatronics.
