Kristian Emil Kristensen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Kristian Emil has held various roles in different companies since 2014. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Student Assistant at Leiden University College The Hague, where they assisted with teaching advanced statistical methods and energy science. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Research Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, responsible for data analysis and management on the CONNECT Project.

In 2016, Kristensen became a Researcher and Data Analyst at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam/VU, where they led research projects on global environmental governance and policy, and represented the institute at international conferences.

In 2020, they worked as a Sustainability Researcher and Analyst and also took on the role of Head of Data Analytics at CDP, a position they currently hold as of November 2022. At CDP, they have been involved in developing quantitative assessment tools for low-carbon transition efforts and leading a team of data analysts. Kristensen also worked as a Research & Development Advisor at GoalShaper, where they provided sustainability program management and consultancy services.

Additionally, Kristensen has a background as a musician, singer, and songwriter based in London, Amsterdam, and Berlin, with extensive experience performing at concerts, festivals, and recording studios.

Kristian Emil Kristensen completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environment and Resource Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2015 to 2016. During this time, their field of study focused on environmental governance. Prior to their master's degree, Kristian received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Leiden University from 2012 to 2015. Their undergraduate studies emphasized sustainability and policy. Apart from their formal education, Kristian also obtained a certification in Analyze Data with R Skill Path from Codecademy in November 2020.
