Eric Wehrli

Eric Wehrli is an experienced engineer specializing in new product development and mechanical design. Currently serving as a New Product Development Engineer at AZEK Building Products since October 2020, Eric previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Optimal Design, focusing on consumer electrical products. Eric's background includes management roles, such as Project Manager at Robertshaw, where oversight of New Product Innovation for key customers like Tesla and GE was conducted. With a foundation in project engineering at Freudenberg Household Products, Eric led cross-functional teams in product development and cost-cutting measures. Notably, Eric has been awarded utility and design patents and has developed expertise in injection molding and plastic extrusion. Early career experiences include R&D roles at Espo Engineering Corp. and Sterling Engineering, as well as a co-op position at Siemens Medical, where skills in CAD design and component testing were honed. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University.
