Steve Butkovich

Steve is the Chief Product Officer for CPI Security. He is responsible for identifying and bringing new technology to CPI Security and its customers.

Steve has over 20 years of service at CPI Security and in the alarm industry. He has led many teams at CPI, including Customer Care, Central Station, Field Service Operations, and Information Technology. Today his role focuses on working with manufacturers and service providers to bring the latest security technology and services to our customers.

This role allows him to be heavily involved with internal teams to implement the business procedures, policies, and IT integrations necessary to deliver these products and services to the marketplace.

Steve regularly gives back to the industry by supporting efforts that further the evolution of security and home automation. He is currently an Executive Board Member of The Monitoring Association, where he also co-chairs the Technology committee and serves on the Standards Committee.

Before working at CPI Security, Steve spent 11 years in the automotive industry working for General Motors and Toyota Motor Sales in manufacturing, research, product planning, sales, and dealer development roles. He’s a graduate of Kettering University.
