It manufactures in two locations: its Chatham site (formerly Mackays of Chatham) prints and binds paperback and hardback books; its Croydon site (formerly White Quill Press) prints and finishes book covers, jackets and plate sections. CPI Books Chatham site is CPI's largest book manufacturing site in the UK, making an average of 400,000 books every 24 hours. Founded in 1857, the company was acquired by CPI in 1999.
