J. Russell Newbold

J. Russell Newbold is the current Vice President and General Manager of Energy Efficiency at CPower Energy Management. Newbold has been with CPower for 9 years and 9 months, during which time they have also served as the Director of Sales Operations & Field Operations, and the Sales Executive & Strategic Alliances Manager. In their current role, Newbold is responsible for the P&L and strategic leadership of a team focused on monetizing energy efficiency projects and technologies in forward capacity markets. J. is also responsible for corporate reporting and integration into company culture, as well as the development of sales compensation models that create alignment with corporate objectives.

Prior to joining CPower, Newbold was an Energy Services Account Executive at Honeywell for 2 years and 1 month. Before that, they were a Building Automation Systems Sales Engineer at Carrier Corporation for 4 years and 5 months. Newbold began their career as an Engineer Intern at Greene, Tweed for 3 months, followed by a 3-month internship as a Compliance Intern at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

J. Russell Newbold is a certified energy manager who graduated from The George Washington University with an MBA in business administration and management in 2010. J. also holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University, which they obtained in 2006.
