James Sedgwick

James Sedgwick is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in budgeting, analysis, and management reporting. Currently serving as Capability Group Lead - Core Finance at CPS Energy since March 2018, James has held various leadership roles, including Senior Manager and Manager positions in budgeting and analytics. Prior to CPS Energy, James worked as Director of Client Service at Aventine Hill Partners and Director of Budget and Financial Analysis at Touchstone Communities. James began a career in finance as a Senior Financial Analyst at Axeon Specialty Products and has accumulated valuable experience at Tesoro Corporation and Valero Energy Corporation in various financial roles. Academically, James holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio, a BS in Accounting from John Brown University, and a BS in Family & Human Services alongside a MA in English (TESL) from the University of Central Oklahoma.
