The Lord Myners (Paul Myners) serves as a Non-Executive Director on the CQS Board of Directors. After long career in fund management as CEO of Gartmore he transitioned into a plural phase which included directorships and chairmanships of a number of significant public companies in the UK and elsewhere, including M&S and the Guardian Media Group. He maintained an active involvement in financial services via directorships of GLG, Bank of New York, Aspen Re, Financial Reporting Council and Lord Rothschild's RIT Capital. He also chaired several public bodies ranging from Tate to the Low Pay Commission with other positions held including membership of the Court of the Bank of England and the Investment Board of Singapore's Sovereign Wealth Fund GIC. He was a Minister in Her Majesty's Treasury from 2008 - 2010.

Paul's current roles include chairman and partner of Cevian Capital (UK) LLP along with directorships of a number of publicly listed companies in the UK and elsewhere.

Paul is Chancellor of the University of Exeter, a Visiting Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford and Executive Fellow of London Business School.
