Joe Mertes

Joe Mertes has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Vice President of Business Intelligence at Cracker Barrel since October 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Business Analytics at Cracker Barrel from June 2022 to October 2023.

Before joining Cracker Barrel, Joe was a Business Unit CFO at Elior North America from October 2020 to June 2022. Joe also served as the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Elior North America from March 2019 to October 2020.

Joe's earlier experience includes roles at Family Dollar, where they were the Director of Finance from August 2014 to February 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Treasury Manager from August 2012 to August 2014 and as a Financial Analyst from August 2011 to August 2012.

Beginning their career at Eco Strategic Sourcing Inc. in December 2009, Joe worked as a Finance Manager until August 2011.

Joe Mertes completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Finance at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
