Jinel Shah

Jinel Shah is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in biochemical and cell-based assays, specializing in drug discovery and metabolic engineering. Currently serving as a Scientist at Cradle since December 2023, Jinel previously worked as a Research Scientist at Genomatica from September 2015 to June 2023, where the development of in vitro kinetic assays for E. coli enzyme pathways was a primary focus. Additional experience includes a role as Sr. Scientist at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, conducting assays for protein interactions and therapeutic mechanisms, and positions at Sanford-Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where Jinel contributed to drug candidate discovery and published research on autophagy proteins. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth.
