Peter Sigal

Peter Sigal is an accomplished news editor and correspondent with extensive experience in journalism, particularly in the automotive sector and cultural reporting. Currently, Peter serves as a news editor and correspondent for Automotive News Europe, focusing on the European automotive industry and its key players since February 2017. Peter has also been a freelance journalist and copywriter for The New York Times since 2003, contributing articles on various topics and continuing to edit news and features. Previously, Peter held multiple editorial roles at The New York Times, including international culture editor and deputy P.M. editor, overseeing significant content for both print and digital platforms. Earlier experience includes reporting and editing roles at The Philadelphia Inquirer and Monterey County Herald. Peter holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia and a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
