Veebha Mehta

Veebha Mehta joined Crain Communications as Chief Marketing Officer in February 2020. Veebha’s career in marketing has been built on successfully launching and driving revenue for new products and businesses through digital and non-digital marketing strategies in the U.S. and international markets.

Before joining Crain, Veebha was Vice President of eCommerce and Consumer Marketing at Cengage Learning. She led the launch of the company’s first direct-to-consumer offer, an industry-disrupting access model for content. Prior to Cengage, Veebha was Head of Consumer Marketing for Pearson North America, where she built and executed go-to-market strategies to drive eCommerce revenue for two direct-to-consumer businesses.

Veebha also held various roles with the Financial Times in Hong Kong and New York. As Head of Audience Development, she piloted and implemented digital marketing and strategic partnerships for the rollout of FT.com’s global paywall to engage new audiences. In this role she also led the FT’s digital audience growth strategy in India. Veebha started her marketing career with Discovery Communications.

Veebha received her B.A. in Journalism and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Delhi, India and her M.A. in Communications from the University of Leeds, U.K.
