Katharine Kovan

Katharine Kovan is an experienced educator who has been serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Cranbrook Educational Community since July 2020. Prior to this role, Kovan worked at Detroit Public Schools from August 2014 to July 2020, and was selected as a Corps Member with Teach For America from June 2014 to June 2016, where participation involved rigorous professional development and a commitment to teaching in urban schools. Kovan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Community Action and Social Change from the University of Michigan, obtained in 2014, and graduated with a high school diploma from Cranbrook Kingswood in 2010.
