Michael Narlock has had diverse work experience in the fields of astronomy, exhibits, art direction, and education. Michael started their career in 1996 as the Head of Astronomy/Exhibits & CEC/CIS Web Coordinator at the Cranbrook Institute of Science, where they managed various departments and courses. In 2007, they joined Dome3D LLC as an Art Director, contributing to the company's creative media and technology solutions for immersive theaters and businesses. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Lawrence Technological University from 1999 to 2010, teaching physics/astronomy to pre-engineering and architecture students. From 2004 to 2009, Michael also hosted a radio show called "The Event Horizon" on www.SLOOH.com, focusing on astronomy and space science.

Michael Narlock received their High School Diploma from Wausau West High School in 1988. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from 1988 to 1992. Following that, they attended Michigan State University from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Master's degree in Astronomy. Michael continued their post-graduate studies at Wayne State University from 1994 to 1997, focusing on Liquid Crystals as part of their post M.S. studies.
