Michael S. Burns, CSP has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to environmental health and safety. Michael S. most recently served as the Environmental Health and Safety Director at Crane Composites since September 2018. Prior to this, they were the Global Safety, Health & Environment Manager at Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company from November 2011 to September 2018. Michael also worked as a Safety, Security & Environmental Manager at Kraft Foods from April 2008 to November 2011. Before that, they held the position of Environmental Health & Safety Manager at GE Aviation from 2006 to 2008, and at GE Healthcare from 2003 to 2006. Michael S. began their career as an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator at Amersham Health in 1998 and as an Industrial Hygiene & Safety Intern at Caterpillar Inc. in the same year.
Michael S. Burns, CSP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health & Safety from Illinois State University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Michael S. later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management with a focus on Safety from Northern Illinois University, which they completed between 2013 and 2016. In addition to their degrees, Michael has also obtained the certification of Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, which they achieved in April 2006.
