Iain Gray

Iain Gray has a long history of experience in the aerospace industry. In 2012, they became the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Aerospace Bristol. In 2013, they were appointed as a Council Member at City University London. In 2015, they were appointed as Director of Aerospace at Cranfield University and a Non-exec at Versarien plc. In 2016, they became Vice President of Business and Innovation at the Royal Society of Edinburgh. In 2017, they were appointed as Vice President at the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 2018, they became a Non-Executive Director at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions. In 2019, they were appointed as Chairperson at CFMS. Additionally, they have been a Board Member at Enginuity since 2005 and a Board Member at EngineeringUK since 2008.

Iain Gray attended Aberdeen Grammar School before going on to the University of Aberdeen where they obtained a BScEng in Engineering in 1979. Iain then went on to the University of Southampton where they obtained a Master of Philosophy - MPhil.
