Head of Design at Cranfield Aerospace

Johannes H. has a long history of work experience in the aerospace industry. In 2011, they started as an Engineering Assistant at Vogl Electronic GmbH, where they created 3D CAD models and drawings and assisted with the introduction of the ISO 9001:2008 system. In 2012, they became an Engineering Intern at Tenencia Aerospace Design, where they carried out design work on various aircraft. In 2013, they moved back to Vogl Electronic GmbH as a Design Engineer, Research & Development, where they were involved in the development and design of optoelectronic partial discharge measuring systems, aluminium light sensors and other minor systems. In 2014, they joined Tenencia Aerospace Design, a Carlisle Company, as Head of Design & Chief of the Office of Airworthiness, Deputy Head of Design and Avionics/Electrical Systems Design Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they became the Head of Airworthiness at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions.

Johannes H. holds a Master of Science (MSc) from Cranfield University in Aerospace Vehicle Design, which they obtained between 2013 and 2014. Johannes also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. In addition, Johannes H. has obtained certifications from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA Form 4 (SRG1705) - Head of Design and CAA Form 4 (SRG1705) - Chief of the Office of Airworthiness), the Engineering Council (Chartered Engineer (CEng)), and the Royal Aeronautical Society (Member (MRAeS)).
