James (Jim) Kelly is an experienced systems engineer and innovator with a career spanning over three decades in the automotive and aerospace industries. Currently serving as a Guest Speaker at Cranfield School of Management and a Systems Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover, Jim has led numerous research initiatives in L4/L5 autonomy and off-road innovation, contributing significantly to the development of perception systems and advanced control technologies. Jim's ownership of Kelly CASE Applications Ltd and prior roles at leading companies such as Rolls-Royce and Alstom Power reflect a strong background in systems design and development, with notable contributions to full authority digital engine control systems and a total of 385 international patents. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering with Microprocessor Applications from Birmingham City University.
