David Burkum, CPA, CMA, CGMA has extensive work experience in the field of finance and accounting. David is currently serving as the Vice President and Director of Finance at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. Their responsibilities in this role include managing the Accounting Department, monitoring internal controls, providing and interpreting financial statements, project reporting, regional office reporting, tax preparation, client invoicing, and assisting in financial goal planning. Prior to joining Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., David worked as an Accountant/Auditor at Kiesling Associates, CPA's LLP.

David Burkum, CPA, CMA, CGMA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accountancy from the University of Illinois System. David then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the same university. In terms of certifications, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1993. David further enhanced their expertise by obtaining the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification in 1998 and Certified in Financial Management (CFM) certification in 1999, both from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). In 2012, David Burkum achieved the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
