Lazaro Kabyemera

Lazaro Kabyemera has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Lazaro is currently serving as the Head of Cyber Security at CRDB Bank Plc since April 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of ICT Security & Governance at the same company from April 2020 to August 2023.

Before joining CRDB Bank Plc, Lazaro worked at Vodacom Tanzania Plc for several years. Lazaro served as the Head of Cyber Security from July 2019 to March 2020, and before that, they worked as a Technology Security Officer from July 2012 to July 2019.

Their career also includes a brief period of work as an Assistant Tutor at the University of Dodoma in 2012. Additionally, Lazaro worked at Vodacom Tanzania Plc as an IT Service Delivery officer from October 2011 to April 2012, and as a Field Engineer at Maktech Telecommunications from July 2011 to October 2011.

Lazaro Kabyemera completed their education in the following chronological order:

- From 2007 to 2011, they attended the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. Their field of study was focused on Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.

- Following that, between 2015 and 2017, Lazaro pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Their field of study was General Management.

Besides their formal education, Lazaro Kabyemera also obtained additional certifications:

- In May 2015, they received the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA.

- In November 2021, they earned the COBIT 2019 Foundation certification, also from ISACA.
