Duygu Cakmak

Duygu Cakmak has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Duygu currently holds the role of R&D Director at Creative Assembly, which they started in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Technical Director and Senior Programmer at the same company. Their experience at Creative Assembly dates back to October 2015 when they started as an AI Programmer.

Before joining Creative Assembly, Duygu worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SANLAB Simulation from October 2014 to October 2015. In this role, they primarily focused on programming CG and an interdisciplinary C++ framework for training simulations, as well as integrating different aspects such as vehicle dynamics, physics, and 3D assets.

Prior roles include working as an Institutional Technology Development Manager at KaliteSistem Consulting from February 2011 to October 2014. Duygu also worked as a Game AI developer at Agopia Game Development Studio from September 2010 to February 2011.

Duygu's early career includes the role of a Teaching Assistant at Sabanci University from September 2008 to December 2010, as well as a Software Engineering Intern at Cybersoft in the summer of 2007.

Duygu Cakmak completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabanci University between 2003 and 2008. Duygu further pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Sabanci University between 2008 and 2010.
