Matt Fisher has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matt most recently served as the Director of Communications at Creative Australia starting in December 2022. Before that, they worked as the Communications and Engagement Manager at the NSW Department of Education from November to December 2022. Matt also held the position of Senior Communications Manager at the A-Leagues from November 2021 to September 2022. Matt has experience in strategic communications and management, as evidenced by their role as the National Strategic Communications Manager at the Australian Red Cross from July 2019 to November 2021. Matt has also worked at PageGroup, Nine Network Australia, Tourism Australia, The Times, ITN, and hibu in various communications and content-related roles.
Matt Fisher attended Queen Elizabeth's from 1994 to 1996, where they completed their 'A' Levels in English, Politics, and Geography. Matt then enrolled at Staffordshire University from 1996 to 1999 and obtained a BSc degree in Sport Studies. The degree program covered various subjects, including Coaching, Physiology, Nutrition, and the History and Sociology of elite and mass participation sport.
