Creative Capital
Beatrice G. is an accomplished artist and researcher currently serving as a Creative Capital Awardee since January 2024. With extensive experience in various artistic and educational roles, Beatrice has been self-employed as an artist/researcher since 2004 and has held positions such as Arts Liaison for The Public History Project and Faculty Member at the School of Visual Arts since 2019. Previous roles include Artist in Residence at the New-York Historical Society from 2022 to 2024, a 2021 Artist-in-Residence at Yale-NUS College, and participation as an Artist in Residence with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Beatrice has also contributed as a Council Member for the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics and was a 2018 Smithsonian Artist Research Fellow. Beatrice holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art from New York University and was a US Fulbright Scholar from 2008 to 2009.
