Dorothy Gordon

Dorothy Gordon is currently an advisor at Creative Commons. Prior to that, they worked as a practicum student at George Brown College from June 2020 to August 2020. There, they provided one-on-one coaching to students on job search strategies, which included resume and cover letter development, as well as interview skills. Dorothy also designed and facilitated multiple online webinars on "How to Effectively Follow Employer Leads on LinkedIn". In addition, they participated in User Acceptance Testing for the configuration of a new in-house career management system.

Before their work at George Brown College, Dorothy Gordon worked as a Senior Human Resources Consultant at Atlas Tools & Machinery from July 2018 to December 2019.

Dorothy Gordon has also worked as an Instructor of the STEP program at the University of Toronto's School of the Environment from August 2014 to January 2016. There, they developed and led a critical thinking and career workshop entitled "How to Market your Critical Thinking Skills to Employers". This was a three-day workshop held at the University of Toronto's School of the Environment for graduating students of this program. The workshop equipped students with the tools and strategies they will require as they embark on their employment journey.

Dorothy Gordon has a certification in Career Development Pracitioner from George Brown College, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from York University, and an Associate's Degree in Human Resource Management from Seneca College. Dorothy also has certifications from the Human Resources Professional Organization of Ontario (CHRP) and the Human Resources Professionals Association (CHRL).
