Daniel Bruns

Daniel Bruns is an experienced leader in the retirement strategy and financial services sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Retirement Strategy at Creative Planning since May 2024, Bruns previously held key positions as Managing Director at Athena Advisory Inc., where the focus was on optimizing managed finance solutions, and as Principal at BC Investment Consulting, collaborating with asset managers and service providers on retirement solutions. Bruns also contributed as an Executive Committee Member for the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) and spent over a decade at Morningstar Investment Management, where roles included Head of Retirement Products and VP of Product Strategy. Bruns holds an M.B.A. in Strategy and Finance from DePaul University.
