Sagar Godbole

Sagar Godbole is a legal professional with extensive experience in high-stakes environments. Currently serving as Legal Counsel at CRED since December 2020, Sagar has contributed to the successful launch of multiple financial products while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and has been the primary legal contact for significant fundraising rounds. Prior to this, Sagar worked at Trilegal from July 2016 to December 2020, initially as an Associate and later as a Senior Associate, focusing on the establishment of SEBI-regulated investment vehicles and advising on securities regulations. Sagar began the career as a legal intern at various esteemed organizations, including Platinum Partners and the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission. Sagar holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University and has furthered education with a certificate in US Business Laws from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
