Patricia Brocos has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Patricia is currently the Legal Director at Credicorp Capital, a position they have held since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Lazo & De Romaña Abogados as a Partner in the Banking & Finance and Capital Markets Department from January 2018 to January 2020. In this role, they represented issuers, underwriters, and other market participants in various capital markets transactions. Patricia also provided corporate advisory services and assisted with M&A transactions and compliance issues.
Before joining Lazo & De Romaña Abogados, Patricia served as a Senior Associate at the same firm from January 2012 to December 2017. During this time, they gained experience in corporate and financial transactions, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, banking, and cross-border financings.
From July 2013 to November 2014, Patricia worked as an International Associate at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where they focused on corporate and financial transactions, capital markets, banking, and cross-border financings.
Prior to their tenure at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, Patricia held the role of In-House Counsel at Backus from April 2011 to December 2011. In this position, they handled corporate transactions, negotiated and drafted corporate and financing documents, and ensured compliance with capital market regulations, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Patricia began their legal career as an Associate at Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas, where they worked from June 2006 to April 2011. During this time, they specialized in negotiating and drafting transactional agreements for significant corporate transactions, including purchases and sales of businesses, financings, infrastructure projects, corporate strategy, conflict resolution, and corporate reorganizations. Patricia also represented shareholders and provided support in corporate meetings.
Patricia Brocos has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which they obtained from 2002 to 2007. In 2012 and 2013, they pursued further education at Northwestern University, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Law and a Certificate in Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
