Lesley Welwarth

Lesley Welwarth is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, particularly in consumer protection, debt collection, and auto financing regulations. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Operations in the Corporate Legal Department at Credit Acceptance since November 2016, Lesley provides strategic legal advice to Company leaders, enhances operational procedures, and ensures compliance with relevant laws. Previous roles at Credit Acceptance include Manager of Servicing and Staff Attorney in Regulatory Compliance and Litigation, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of regulatory audits and management of complex litigation portfolios. Prior to joining Credit Acceptance, Lesley was an Associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP, focusing on corporate bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and held legal internships at both the United States Attorney's Office and the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York. Lesley holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Cardozo School of Law and a BA in International Relations from Emory University.
