James Constable has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. James started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Student at Leslie Consulting, where they worked on developing and comparing payload algorithms for mining rope shovels. James then moved on to The University of Queensland, where they worked as a Mathematics Tutor and also served as a Vacation Scholar, parallelizing graph decomposition software using C and C++.

After completing their education, James joined LC Engineering as a Graduate Engineer, where they worked on mechanical design projects and developed innovative solutions for dragline bucket and rigging design. James also gained experience in API programming and IT system deployment.

James then transitioned to the role of Project Engineer at LC Engineering, focusing on machine monitoring. James gained expertise in ETL processes and reporting tools such as SSRS, and successfully translated automated crystal reports into SSRS reports.

Following their tenure at LC Engineering, James joined CQMS Razer as a Senior Engineer. Initially working as a DBA/Database developer for the Titan team, they later took on the role of Senior Engineer, focusing on software engineering, reporting, and database administration. James built reactive websites using C# ASP and designed and built a live data warehouse of denormalized monitoring data.

James then moved to CR Digital, where they served as a Team Lead and Product Owner. James built and led a team of developers in creating a cloud offering for the monitoring products. They took an agile approach, developing a JavaScript single-page application hosted on Azure app services, which eventually evolved into a microservices-based solution deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service.

Most recently, James is working as a Senior Data Engineer at Credit Clear Limited. James built a greenfield data platform on the Azure cloud using Databricks. James deployed a delta lake and set up streaming processes to capture data into the delta lake.

James Constable has a diverse education history. In 1994, they enrolled at Brisbane Boys' College, where they completed their secondary education. From 2000 to 2004, they attended The University of Queensland, and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons1)/Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. After a gap, in 2023 James pursued higher education at La Trobe University, where they are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science. Besides their academic achievements, James also obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2020.
