Mary Krone

Mary Krone began their work experience as a Doctoral Student at UC Santa Barbara from September 2003 to December 2007. Mary then joined FICO in February 2008 as an Analytic Consultant II and held various positions including Lead Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Director for Analytic Ventures Team and Analytic Tools Product Management. During their time at FICO, Mary led multiple global teams, delivered data science training, and developed and launched FICO's first data science offering. In October 2021, Mary joined Credit Karma as the Director of Risk & Payments Data Science, leading a team in detecting and preventing risk and fraud while enabling financial progress for non-fraudulent members.

Mary Krone earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a focus on Secondary Education from Vassar College, which they attended from 1999 to 2003. Mary later pursued further education at UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry & Biochemistry from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their academic qualifications, Mary also obtained a certification in Practical Product Management from Pragmatic Marketing in April 2013.
