Shankar N Viswanathan

Shankar N Viswanathan is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in cloud and infrastructure security. Currently serving as Director II and Head of Cloud Security at Credit Karma since November 2021, Shankar oversees multiple teams focused on Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, IAM, Detection Engineering, and Applied Cryptography within a Google Cloud environment. Additionally, as a member of the Forbes Technology Council since August 2023, Shankar contributes insights alongside other technology leaders. Prior experience includes roles such as Sr. Director at Visa, where leadership spanned global security teams and initiatives in Platform & Infrastructure Security, and Senior Manager at Intuit, focusing on cloud migration and identity management. Shankar’s technical background is further complemented by positions held at PwC, Teach For America, Carnegie Mellon University, and Cognizant. Shankar holds a Master's degree in Information Security from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication from Anna University Chennai.
