Tess U. is an experienced educator and community outreach coordinator currently serving as a Teacher Assistant at the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education, Ontario Tech University, and as a Community Outreach Coordinator for Credit Valley Conservation. Tess's professional background includes roles such as Research Assistant at STEAM-3D Maker Lab, Maker in Residence at University of Toronto Schools, and Teacher at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, emphasizing outdoor education and innovation in learning. With a strong foundation in psychology, Tess holds a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Education, a Master of Arts in Education, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at Ontario Tech University. Tess’s diverse expertise spans curriculum development, environmental stewardship, youth engagement, and instructional leadership.
Credit Valley Conservation
Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River watershed. That watershed is the area of land where all rainfall, snowmelt and runoff drain into lands and waters flowing into the Credit River. CVC creates connections between people and nature, knowledge and action. It inspires a deep appreciation for the role of nature in keeping people connected, healthy and happy. CVC is a member of Conservation Ontario.
