Brian Axe

Brian Axe is currently the Head of Loss Forecasting and Macro Economic Analysis at Mercury® Financial, a position held since May 2020, where responsibilities include managing loss forecasts, risk appetite, CECL, and macroeconomic analyses for Near Prime customers. Prior to this role, Brian served as the Director of Risk Management at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from November 2002 to May 2020, overseeing the development of a risk appetite framework, collaborating with regulatory bodies, and directing stress-testing initiatives for capital planning. Brian's earlier experience includes serving as the AVP of Credit Card Finance at Bank of America from 2004 to 2007, where responsibilities involved creating marketing strategies and conducting financial analysis to support P&L initiatives. Brian holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Financial Management Services from Widener University, obtained between 2000 and 2006.
