Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen serves as the Head of Capital Markets at Mercury® Financial, overseeing capital markets and treasury activities for a $3 billion non-bank credit card company since 2024. Previously, as Vice President and Managing Director at OneMain Financial from January 2017 to September 2023, Cohen led the Capital Markets team, focusing on consumer loan and auto term ABS securitizations, corporate unsecured debt offerings, and alternative financing strategies, while also managing the company’s funding and liquidity as assistant treasurer. Earlier experience includes working as a Structured Finance Analyst at EY, where responsibilities included collateralized debt obligations, and a summer role at Fannie Mae in financial planning and analysis. Cohen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland, completed in 2015.
