Cynthia M. Schmersal

Cynthia Schmersal currently serves as the Vice President of Mission and Ministry at Creighton University, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Cynthia was the Vice President for Mission & Ministry and Director of the Office of Campus Ministry at Rockhurst University from August 2007 to September 2022, where responsibilities included managing a professional team and supporting student success. Earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the Midwest Region, managing programs for post-graduate volunteers, and as an Emergency Services Specialist with Lighthouse Emergency Services. Cynthia holds a Doctor of Education in Education and Leadership, a Master's Degree in Management, a Master's Degree in Ministry, and a Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education, all from recognized institutions.
