Wayne Young Jr.

Wayne Young Jr., Ph.D., serves as the Vice Provost for Student Success at Creighton University since August 1998, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on student success through collaboration and personalized attention. Additionally, Wayne is an adjunct faculty member instructing graduate-level courses and has held several administrative roles, including Associate Vice Provost for Student Retention and Associate Vice Provost for Student Development, overseeing various student support units and mental health planning initiatives. With a foundation in residence life management from prior positions at Marquette University, Texas A&M University, and Rice University, Wayne has developed extensive expertise in student affairs and educational administration, holding a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
