Tom Parnell is a Partner with Cress Capital. Prior to joining in 2016, Mr. Parnell was Vice President at Triangle Petroleum Corporation where he advised management on all matters related to the company’s real estate growth strategy, including managing acquisitions, developments and leasing in Western North Dakota and Midland, Texas. Prior to Triangle, Mr. Parnell spent over 5 years at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, where he executed both direct and indirect real estate investments in the U.S. and Mexico, and closed on transactions totaling over $400 million of equity investment. Although covering nearly all asset classes, he focused on GIC’s investments in the office, industrial and retail sectors, overseeing an investment portfolio exceeding $2 billion.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Parnell worked at Industrial Growth Partners (IGP), a mid-market private equity firm in San Francisco where he executed leveraged buyouts in the manufacturing and manufacturing services industries. Mr. Parnell started his career as an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Thomas Weisel Partners in New York.
He received his MBA from the Wharton School with a major in real estate and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School with a concentration in finance. Mr. Parnell is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado. He lives in Denver with his wife and two children.
