Kortney Melancon, Ph.D.

Kortney Melancon, Ph.D., currently serves as a Support Scientist at Cresset Software and Discovery since March 2023. Prior to this role, Kortney Melancon was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University from January 2021 to April 2023 and worked as a Computational Chemist at Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from October 2019 to December 2020. Academic experience includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Texas from August 2016 to December 2020, as well as various undergraduate roles at Texas State University from August 2013 to August 2016. Educational credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Physics from Texas State University.
