Mari Goldsmith has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and software applications. Mari currently works as an Application Scientist at Torx® Software, where they demonstrate and integrates the Torx software with client systems, provides onboarding support, and offers technical assistance to existing clients. Mari also holds a similar position at Cresset Software and Discovery.
Before that, Mari worked at Eli Lilly and Company for over two decades. Mari started as an Analytical Technologies Technician, responsible for interpreting and troubleshooting LC-MS systems and characterizing routine samples using IR instruments. Mari later transitioned to the role of Analytical Chemist, specializing in chiral and achiral analysis and purification techniques. Additionally, they had two secondments in Computational Chemistry, where they worked on virtual screening, hit generation, and provided department tutorials on computational tools. Their experience also includes medicinal chemistry work, including compound synthesis, design, and troubleshooting, as well as utilizing computational tools for data analysis and 3D modeling.
Throughout their career, Mari has demonstrated a strong ability to integrate technology into their work, provide technical support, and collaborate with diverse teams.
Mari Goldsmith attended Kingston University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a degree in Chemistry, specifically a MChem. In addition, they also received a Foundation Certificate in Accounting (with Distinction) from AAT in April 2021.
