In addition to their academic qualifications, Simon has obtained various certifications. In August 2005, they became a registered pharmacist through the General Pharmaceutical Council. Simon further expanded their skill set by completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum.org in December 2018 and the Scaled Professional Scrum certification in June 2019. Recently, in October 2020, they obtained the Italian language B1 (CILS) certification from the Università per Stranieri di Siena.
