Garrin Wong

Garrin Wong is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and product management across several prominent organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Product Platform Engineering at Cribl since January 2025, Wong oversees a vendor-agnostic data engine designed to empower IT and security teams. Previous positions include Head of Engineering at Opal Security, where Wong led efforts for a Series B backed security startup, and VP of Engineering - Enterprise at Slack, transforming the company into an enterprise software powerhouse. At Splunk, Wong held the role of VP of Engineering, managing engineering productivity and technical program management for a global R&D team. Additional experience includes leadership roles at dotloop (Zillow), Yahoo, and PayPal, where significant contributions were made in engineering operations and transaction processing. Wong holds a BA from Stanford University and additional educational credentials from Caltech.
