David Ball

David Ball is a dedicated undergraduate researcher at the University of Alabama's Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, focusing on functionalizing cellulose for sustainable packaging materials. Currently serving as a Composite Structures Junior Engineer for Crimson Racing, David develops Finite Element Analysis methods and enhances performance for the Formula SAE competition. With extensive experience as a lifeguard at Samena Swim & Recreation Club, David holds over 600 hours of service. Additionally, David's research background includes participation in a competitive Nanoengineering Research Experience at the University of Mississippi and a role as a High School Research Assistant at the University of Washington, contributing to projects in materials science. David is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alabama.
