Stephen Knowles

Stephen Knowles is a seasoned professional in drug safety and pharmacovigilance with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as VP of Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals since April 2024, Knowles previously held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. from January 2018 to March 2024. Additionally, Knowles spent over 12 years at Eli Lilly and Company, where roles included Senior Director of GPS Medical & Benefit Risk Management and leadership in various domains of global patient safety. With a foundation in clinical research as a Practising Physician in the UK National Health Service from 1984 to 2001, Knowles holds an MBBS degree from Newcastle University.
