Edward Marques

Ed Marques is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in peacebuilding, policy, and international relations. Currently serving as Head of the Eurasia Programme at the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since November 2017, Ed also holds the roles of Advisor to the CEO and Senior Manager for Policy and Innovation. Previously, Ed directed Global Covenant Partners, focusing on reducing religion-related violence through peacetech initiatives. Additional roles include Visiting Scholar at the University of Virginia, Doctoral Researcher at SOAS University of London, and Senior Advisor for Finn Church Aid's peacebuilding network. Ed's academic credentials include a PhD in Politics and International Studies from SOAS and a Master's in International Relations from King's College London. Through a diverse career spanning various organizations, Ed Marques has contributed significantly to diplomacy, youth employment, and civil society engagement.
